In light of the recession, the Queens Museum canceled its annual dinner in favor of a no-cost, no-event, web-based fundraiser.

As  part of this enterprise, we presented a live streaming web auction hosted by QMA Director, Tom Finkelpearl and Special Guest Auctioneer artist, Hope Ginsburg All auction items were be available for free.

Non-monetary bids* were accepted through e-mail, twitter, and over the phone.  To bid we asked you to be enthusiastic, creative, or just plain lucky.

Winning bids included:

(give us your 4 word Oscar acceptance speech)
museumnerd@QueensMuseum Meet me under the giant spaceships from Men in Black and we’ll walk over to the Queens Museum!
